Success Stories & Testimonials

I was connected to Mrs. Ekata through my dad's friend, and truly, without her help, wouldn't be where I am today. Although my time working with her was relatively short-only a couple of classes-she guided me through every step of the college application process: which colleges to consider, what to apply for, and how to apply. As someone who had never experienced or even seen the college application process secondhand, it felt overwhelming at times, and I am so grateful she was there beside me throughout it all. The thing I am most thankful for is that she encouraged me to apply Early Decision to Northeastern. I never would have considered it on my own, and I never thought it would be a school suited for me. Yet here I am today, accepted to a school with a 5.2% acceptance rate. I am incredibly grateful to have met Mrs.Ekata and to have been guided by her. I truly appreciate the time, effort, and genuine care she puts into helping her students-there is never any hesitation in her guidance. She has always been an amazing mentor and role model, and hope to hear many more of her success stories in the future.

I met with Miss. Ekata at a point where I was completely afraid for my future options for college. I felt I had an ability to write, but without support, there was not a way to create distinct and intellectual pieces to support my application. Meeting with Miss. Ekata gave me a form of empowerment, a clear way to write my understanding and personality as a person. Through this empowerment, I wrote beautiful pieces that uplifted and almost transformed my application. With the help of Miss. Ekata, I was able to gain many scholarships, almost giving me full rides into colleges that would both support and define my future as a medical student. Thank you so much for all your help, and for bringing me so much success with my applications!

I am truly grateful to Ms. Ekata for all the support she gave me throughout the entire college application process. At the beginning, I remember feeling extremely overwhelmed and nervous about everything. I felt lost while narrowing down my college list, creating my résumé, and especially when trying to write my essays. The process felt intimidating, and I often doubted myself. However, Ms. Ekata helped turn that anxiety into confidence. She recommended strong schools such as Rutgers and gave me valuable advice on how to best organize my extracurriculars. Her consistent encouragement and guidance helped me brainstorm unique ideas, efficiently revise my drafts, and talk through challenges; she helped me tackle what once felt like an impossible journey one step at a time. Now, I can proudly say that I have been admitted to Loyola University Maryland, UNC Charlotte, ECU, the University of Delaware, Virginia Tech, and Rutgers University. Thank you so much, Ms. Ekata! I genuinely could not have done this without you, and I truly appreciate the dedication and patience you showed throughout this entire process.

I am writing this note to express my sincere gratitude to my mentor, whom I lovingly call Miss. Ekata, because I have known her for a long time now. The way Miss. Ekata helped me throughout this overwhelming college application process is what I'm tremendously grateful for. With her time and support, I slowly but surely got through the entire college application process. I needed a lot of help as I was not only navigating the college application process but also my autism along with it. She guided me in every step of the process, right from the list of colleges to apply, when to apply, the extracurriculars needed, my essays - the whole works. I was especially happy with how she encouraged me to apply Early Action to smaller schools like Wofford, Furman, Elon, and Queens University of Charlotte. These are the institutions where I could get more support and care as a student with autism spectrum disorder. She was a big help with documenting my extracurriculars, which became a game-changer for my application. I never realized I did so much volunteer work while pursuing my passion for music, both vocal and instrumental. With all her help, I got into Queens University and Furman University. Furman is a top school I never dreamed I'd get into. This wouldn't have been possible without Miss. Ekata's support, help, and guidance. She guided me like her own son; the care and affection she put into the entire process helped me achieve the outcomes I have so far. I feel proud of what I have done so far and who I am today, and I hope to keep up that good work. Miss. Ekata, you deserve a lot of credit for my success. You have been such a passageway through my journey, and thank you once again, Miss. Ekata!

"We found Mentus a little late (about 2 weeks) to the start of the application processes. Ekata quickly prioritized our daughter and helped her understand what to do and how to better her chances of acceptance. Mentus quickly helped our child to manage her time, increase her confidence, write all her essays, and get all her ducks in row for the applications. Something we had been working on for months and still did not get anywhere. Ekata kept communication with us (the parents) very open, giving regular reports on how they were proceeding. She left no room for doubt. We are very grateful for all the time and advice our daughter received. Thank you, Ekata. Your knowledge about college prep and the application process was phenomenal. "

"I would highly recommend Ekata and her college counseling services. I found them to be above par excellence. Even Though we got in touch very late she guided my daughter with due diligence and found all the gaps she had. She channelised all her extracurricular activities and gave I would say a structured approach to her presentation. She was kind at the same time making sure about the things being done. She shared a lot of information about colleges and various scholarships which as a parent I was not aware of. Thanks Ekata for helping my child and me!"

"Ekata Saha/Mentus is an incredible resource for students and families navigating the college application process. We found Ekata to be extremely knowledgeable on the entire ecosystem from college applications, essay construction, priority of classes and curriculum, extracurricular activities and even grants and scholarships. Literally every component of building the best candidate for college acceptance. Our only regret is we didn’t find her sooner. Luckily I have several more children that will benefit from Ekata and Mentus services earlier and more often. I cannot recommend her enough. My daughter Magnolia felt so much more confident and prepared after working with Ekata. Five star rating."
